Title: Electric Parade
Series: Unbound
Rated: G
Summary: Zack Dawson, our intrepid hero from the hit series Unbound, gets himself into a load of trouble when he tries and saves the day by himself.
Notes: Sky ran Unbound for me around the time I was playing Earthbound, so if it seems like a bit of a ripoff… well, it is. The main character is Zack, an underachieving high school student living in Seisett Dome, and he received psycho-kinetic powers after a run-in with a sentient golf cart. Along with his friend Deidre (“Deed”) and an ex-ecoterrorist turned hobo turned ordinary guy named Cochrane (“Rane”), as well as with the assistance of a mysterious “Voice”, they work together to save the world from GAYA, a being that is bent on reclaiming the planet from humanity.
The story is filled with a million puns and sillyness, such as S&Ses instead of M&Ms, Young Pole chips instead of Old Dutch, etc., and it generally keeps the silly feel of Earthbound (or at least I hope).
I’m hoping I described stuff enough that one wouldn’t need to re-read the logs from the game itself. There might be a few references here and there that seem unclear, but I’m hoping it’ll still be enjoyable to someone absolutely new to the series.
Well, here we go.
